This fall, prepare to step into a world of color, culture, and couture. On Saturday, November 1, join us at Pinnacle Hills Promenade for Souls of the Promenade: Day of the Dead “Día de Muertos”, a one-of-a-kind celebration honoring Latino heritage through music, fashion, and tradition.
Curated by Rulli Torres, acclaimed designer and founder of Bentonville Fashion Week, this event blends artistic expression with meaningful cultural reverence. The goal? To celebrate life, remember those who came before us, and foster community through shared experiences.
What to Expect
🎨 A Cultural Showcase
Día de Muertos, or Day of the Dead, is a vibrant Mexican tradition honoring loved ones who have passed. Souls of the Promenade brings this heritage to life with:
Traditional altars (ofrendas)
Interactive cultural installations
Art displays rooted in Latino history and symbolism
It’s an immersive way to learn about this meaningful holiday—whether you’re deeply familiar or discovering it for the first time.
🎶 Live Entertainment
Enjoy live performances by talented local artists, including:
Trio Hermanitas Alvarez
Mar Loroña
Grupo de Ballet Folklorico Quetzal
…and more special guests
From music to dance, every performance tells a story that connects us to community and culture.
👠 Fashion Takes the Spotlight
Fashion lovers, take note: Rulli Torres will debut his Catrina Fashion Collection, a stunning runway tribute to the elegant skeletal figure that has become a symbol of Día de Muertos. Expect bold silhouettes, dramatic details, and fashion that speaks to the soul.
In addition, Bentonville Fashion Week will feature fall collections from:
Local & national student designers
Emerging fashion talent
Professional designers and boutiques
This fusion of tradition and trend creates a fashion-forward experience you won’t want to miss.
🎭 Dress to Impress: Catrin & Catrina Contest
Everyone is encouraged to join the fun by dressing in Catrin (male) or Catrina (female) attire. Think: painted skull faces, floral headpieces, elegant Victorian-inspired fashion, and bold colors.
Best dressed will take home a cash prize, so bring your A-game!
